Gregory Alan Isakov

Semester long typography project centered on a single track by Gregory Alan Isakov
Was I just another one? - Evening Machines
The lyrics and energy of the song provided countless interpretations, and visuals which I created to fulfill requirements set for each stage of this project. The challenge of working with only one set body of type for so long was a fun one indeed. I invite you to listen to the song as you scroll through these designs, and look for the meanings, whether taken literally or metaphorically.

This series of 8 pieces are a combination of illustrations between Procreate and Photoshop. Various bashes of photos and type combined with illustrations to achieve each specific verse. The texturing is entirely from type shrunk to its finest point, and used in contrast with the subjects.

Here lie various other deliverables, from the separate projects and their requirements.
Primarily centered on physical type exploration.
The paper doves contain the letters of the lyrics, and the journal contacts a woodcut carving to support the song, while surrounded by the same type within the birds from before.

The final project of this entire collection.
Centering on print products, and one final piece based in video.
Thanks for getting this far!
